Our Story
At the edge of Napa and Lake County, where volcanic soils meet mountain winds, Domaine Helena was reborn with a clear purpose: to craft wines of balance, freshness, and place.
When André Guéziec acquired the estate in 2021, he brought with him a lifetime shaped by the wines of Alsace—wines made for the table, guided by restraint rather than excess.
Here, at the base of Mt. St. Helena, the vineyard benefits from a rare combination of altitude, volcanic soils, and historic water rights allowing the capture of pure mountain rainfall. This natural balance shapes every decision in the vineyard.
Farming has transitioned toward organic practices, with a focus on preserving the integrity of the land. Now both the vineyard and winery are certified organic by CCOF and are also certified sustainable by CCSW.
In the cellar, the philosophy remains simple: wines of lower alcohol, structure, and elegance—designed to accompany food and age with grace.
Domaine Helena is where French sensibility meets California terroir—quietly redefining what mountain-grown Cabernet can be.
“We had such a lovely tasting experience here! Although it’s a bit further out than some wineries, it was well worth it for the quality and value of the tasting.”
